Kyungjin Lim (*1991 in Seoul) studied composition at Hanyang University (Collage of Music) and graduated with distinction in 2014.
As a composer he accompanied projects of ARKO (Arts Council Korea) and the Daegu Contemporary Music Festival. His pieces are played by various orchestras and ensembles, including the National Hungarian Radio Orchestra, the Stockholm Chamber Brass Ensemble, and the TonArt Symphony Orchestra Heidelberg. He received a composition commission from the Städtische Bühnen gGmbH Osnabrück and his first opera “Das Ebenbild” was premiered by the Theater Osnabrück as part of Spieltriebe 8 2019.
His works are published by Impronta-Edition UG and he is artistic director and composer of the ensemble SONOR XXI.
Since 2018 he has been studying composition at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim with Prof. Sidney Corbett.
